The Griffin-Spalding County School System stands for “Positive Leadership and Accountability for Children First – Always”. These words represent the skill and effort that are put to task each school day to expand your child’s knowledge and commitment to life-long learning.
Trust in Public Education
Understanding the concept that education is a lifelong process, the Griffin-Spalding County School System has continued to thrive and improve. Whether it’s targeting certain curriculum areas for instructional improvement or constructing new educational facilities, the Griffin-Spalding County School System is committed to instilling trust in public education.
Partners-In-Education Program
Business also plays a vital role in the educational success of our children. The Partners-In-Education Program matches businesses with schools, using the interests, resources, determined needs, personnel and locations of each. Together, they work to achieve mutual goals that will benefit the students.
Partner Institutions
Three institutions of higher learning offer courses locally. Griffin Technical College makes both academic and technical training easily available. The University of Georgia – Griffin Campus began teaching classes on-campus in 2005. Gordon College, a two-year institution in the University System of Georgia specializing in various Associate degrees, provides night courses in Griffin.
