We're proud to honor and celebrate our local heroes on Saturday, November 11th, with 2nd Saturday Hometown Heroes, presented by Hoshizaki America.
Join us in Downtown Griffin starting at 10AM for Shop Specials at participating businesses. Then, take a self-guided Hero Walk by picking up a brochure at any participating business. Stroll around the beautiful downtown to learn about Griffin's heroes by finding the display plagues or visiting the Wall of Honor in front of the City of Griffin Customer Service entrance, 100 S. Hill Street.
At 11AM, the Veterans Affairs Committee and VFW will host the annual memorial service at Memorial Park on E. Taylor Street. Veterans and their plus one are invited to the Mark Ware Veteran's Day Concert at the Griffin Opera House, 102 N. Hill Street. Tickets are free for Veterans and their plus one; others can purchase tickets at
thegriffinoperahouse.com.
