The Griffin-Spalding County Airport – 6A2 is located twenty six nautical miles SSE of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on a compass azimuth of 163°. It’s a Class B-II General Aviation Airport. The address is 1035 South Hill St. Griffin, GA 30224. Its Lat-Long is 33°13’29” N & 84°16”14” W. 6A2 serves all General Aviation aircraft to include small jets utilizing a 3,701-foot x 75-foot paved runway. It has displaced thresholds of 200 feet at either end. The facility is open to the public and is equipped with a standard rotating beacon, REIL's, as well as runway, taxiway & threshold lighting.
