Come join us in celebrating Georgia's Arbor Day!
The City of Griffin, in partnership with the Griffin Environmental Council and Georgia Forestry Commission, will celebrate Arbor Day by giving away FREE bare-root trees at the Griffin-Spalding County Library from 11am to 1pm. Then, continue the celebration with a community cookout at Thomas Park from 4pm to 6pm. This family-friendly event is free and will include a hot dog plate, smores, and activities for children. At 5pm, a tree planting ceremony will be held to remember Dr. Brant Keller and his dedication to the Griffin-Spalding community.
The free tree giveaway will take place at both events. Planting instructions will be included. The first 100 guests at the cookout from 4pm to 6pm at Thomas Park will receive a swag bag.
