Second Saturdays

Each month we host special events and encourage businesses to participate in a theme to showcase with makes downtown Griffin such a great place to visit, shop, and dine. Throughout the year thousands come to stroll the streets and enjoy art, entertainment, unique promotions and more.

June Jam

Griffin's largest block party! Join us on Griffin Beach: 60+ tons of sand dumped onto Solomon Street in front of Imperial Theater Park. Volleyball nets, steel drums, and a hot party band will be there to entertain you as you enjoy beautiful downtown Griffin. Food and alcohol vendors, as well as local businesses are invited to setup booths.

Summer Concert Series

Every Saturday in June, July, and August we rock a FREE concert for the public in the Park at Sixth. Grab a chair and invite your friends to come join us starting at 8PM.

Doc Holliday Festival

A weekend event that host thousands from surrounding areas in celebration of Doc Holliday. Join us downtown on Friday evening for the screening of Tombstone and then on Saturday at City Park for a full day of live reenactments, festival games, food, and more. Plus, the annual BBQ Competition.

Movies in the Park

Griffin Downtown Council and the Main Street program have partnered with City Church to offer a FREE movie at the Park at Sixth multiple times throughout the year. The family-friendly event offers fun activities for all ages.

Feast on East

The annual fall family lunch on East Solomon Street comes with a delicious buffet feast and live entertainment for all to enjoy. Decorated with mums and pumpkins along the street. This family-friendly event is fun and tasty.

Trick or Treat Downtown

Join local business owners and community outreach groups as they line the streets for this fun event in downtown. Thousands come to celebrate Halloween and enjoy lots of treats and fun activities in the Park at Sixth. Don't forget to wear your costume!
