Message from DDA Chairman Bruce Ballard

On behalf of our many City partners … In an effort to showcase Griffin-Spalding County and promote an “Open for Business” attitude, we urge all downtown businesses and agencies to please reserve parking on Hill and Solomon Streets for our important retail customers and restaurant visitors. And we hope that owners, residents and employees of professional and residential businesses will use the available parking lots for daily parking, thereby freeing up the more visible, convenient spaces on downtown Hill and Solomon Streets. We have developed this map as a complimentary City parking/walkable guide of available City spaces. Please remember that the City parking deck is convenient for night and weekend parking, as well.

Thank you. It is important we demonstrate Griffin-Spalding as parking- and walkable-friendly, and this simple act of freeing up parking spaces in the most desirable areas would go a long way toward enticing and maintaining a vibrant, downtown district. I know we all would like to enhance our Downtown District, so let's do our part to keep Griffin a convenient place to do business for all our guests, visitors and important customers.
