Truman L. Tinsley, III

Bio

Mr. Tinsley has lived in Griffin for 29 years and has three children, all of whom graduated from the Griffin-Spalding County School System.

Truman L. Tinsley IV is a major in the US Army JAG Corps (married with 2 children). Kim Register is the Director of Nursing at Southern Crescent Technical College (married with 2 children). Joey Tinsley is an Air Traffic Controller in Hampton (single and no children).

A widower, I was married to Ann Gibbs Tinsley for 38-½ years. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a BS in Professional Aeronautics. I received a graduate degree from Columbia Southern University - MBA with a minor in Human Resources. I retired from Delta Air Lines after 44 years, having worked in various stations/departments with an ever increasing level of responsibility -- lastly as System Operations Manager - International Flight Control.

I have completed Griffin Citizens Government Academy, Citizens Police Academy, Citizens Fire Academy and, lastly, the Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT). I served on the Spalding County Board of Equalization for two years as appointed by the Grand Jury. I work as a FAA Designated Aircraft Dispatch Examiner (DADE). I am an active member of First Baptist Griffin and a member of the "Brothers" Sunday School class. I am also a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite and Shrine. I consider myself a fiscal conservative and look forward to serving the Citizens of the 5th District with dignity, honor and respect.
